I am married to the former Belinda Gurley of Huntsville with two children, Benjamin (8 yrs old) and Rachel (6 yrs old). We live on a little farm north of Athens where we raise Arabian horses. We've lived there for approximately 8 years and have recently passed our ten year anniversary. I work for the US Army Space & Missile Defense Command located on Redstone Arsenal and have worked for the Department of Defense since I left active duty Navy in 1987 either as a contractor or as a government employee (since 1998). Upon completing my active duty service I returned to the University of Alabama in Huntsville where I completed my bachelor's degree in Foreign Language International Trade (Russian with a Business Minor). I have a professional level proficiency in Russian and have served on serveral occasions as an interpreter on overseas trips to Russia.
