Surgery
I am in Huntsville working as a small animal veterinarian. I love surgery the most and do quite a bit of orthopedic work. I did 2 additional years of neurology after vet school (Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine) and did emergency medicine full time for 3 years....could never get used to the night work, however, since I am a perpetual morning person. My diagnosis of breast cancer in Dec. 2005 brought my work as an emergency med. veterinarian to a screeching halt. It has been good to be back in general practice and have continuity with my patients and clients. I was diagnosed with breast cancer again last Dec., but happily did not have to endure chemo a second time....my hair had just grown back!! I have been divorced for 6 years with no children.
