David K. Peterson

David Keith Peterson, 50, of Huntsville passed away Thursday.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Peterson; daughter, Jessica Nicole Peterson; parents, Cleo and Ruth Peterson; brother, Paul Peterson and wife Myra; nephews, Nicholas and Chris Peterson; father-in-law, Frank Mokry III and wife Betty; brother-in-law, Frank Mokry IV and wife Sherri; and nieces, Darby and Mckenzie Mokry.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Mike MacMahon officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
I saw David a couple of days before he was killed and visited with him briefly in a store over by Huntsville Hospital
"I have had the privilege to call David my friend since high school. While the beginning of our friendship was thirty years ago, it became much more personal seven years ago when I moved my family into the house next door to David and Laura. For these past years I have benefited from David's warm personality and constant smile. We shared lawn equipment and stories through out the summer. It was not uncommon to be the "next door neighbor" that would hide Christmas presents and other surprises. I will miss David greatly. He was a fine friend, father, husband and brother in Christ." - Jeff Townsley
